We have partnered with Women Forward International to support a new crafts village and training center for rural women weavers in Maharashtra State, India. Together we will preserve an ancient cultural heritage and uplift an entire community!
ZariZar was hosted by Women Forward International (WFI) at the the US-India Friendship Alliance Diwali celebration at the Mellon Center in Washington, DC in fall 2025. WFI's Parsons School of Design student team helped over 600 guests learn about our crafts village and training center for rural women weavers in India!

Celebrating Light over Darkness Diwali Event

Women Forward International co-hosted the U.S.-India Friendship Alliance (USISPF) Diwali celebration of light over darkness at the Mellon Center in Washington, D.C. The evening sparkled with color, music, and creativity, as we showcased the crafts village and training center we are helping build for women weavers in India, alongside the exquisite ZariZar luxury shawls and minerals emerging from this initiative.
